Earth magic specialties

Below are the descriptions of what each specialty has the possibility of doing. The character may or may not be able to do all of what is listed depending on their adeptness with magic. Please be aware that not everything possible may be listed. If you wish to use or do something listed or unlisted, keep in mind the balance of magic.


~Flora~

   Witches with this specialty can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. Under this specialty they can understand the overall well-being and conditions of plants, as well as fully interpret their emotions and communicate with them. The witch also has the ability to mimic plant coloring and texture, making for a great way to camouflage one’s self. Some may even be able to take it as far as transforming their very being into plant life. One of the more obscure skills mastered by very few is the ability to teleport via plants, merging into element/energy and appearing anywhere else from the same element.

   They can cause plants to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate plants by rearranging DNA structure and revive withered or dead plants. They can use their power for defense and support by growing plants from the ground and making them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, or even to possibly use plant chemicals to heal people or objects or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects. Though less commonly activated by passively, the ability may deal a series of offensive techniques on a target. Using the plants as weapons enables them to grasp and strike continuously with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly regenerate the withering weapons at their will. They can make vines grow and climb around a target's neck, causing choking, or even strike with plants. A more subtle technique is to release damaging toxins and pheromones, affecting targets in which conditions should be treated quickly with ailments.



   

~Fauna~

   A witch with this specialty can use/imitate animal powers, they can run like an ostrich, swing like a monkey, sprint like a cheetah, move like a cat, take the strength of an ant, track like a dog, hide like a turtle, constrict like a snake, etc. They can take it one step further and can transform into mammals, as well as use the abilities, traits and appearance/physiology of mammals by rearranging their own DNA structure.  The witch can control animals; they can set stampedes onto attackers, get animals to fetch things. They may be able to call forth hoards of rats or insects to wipe out a crop, or to encourage bees to replant it.

   The witches with this specialty can sense and/or understand the emotions of animals and vice versa. This specialty allows the witch to be able to understand the speech or emotions of animal life forms. This ability is quite uncommon and multifaceted. Some variations are magic-based while others are natural talents or mental powers, similar to Telepathy (but limited to animals). Many are able to survive and adapt to any natural environment, being able to tolerate a wide range of temperatures and levels of moisture, any amount/quality of sustenance, breathable medium, etc. with little or no discomfort.

They can "hitch-hike" other animal’s senses and experience what happens as though they were them. This power grants them with the ability to taste, feel, and smell, see and/or hear from the animal's senses. It allows them to experience the world as the animal would. Often times this will leave their body defenseless though. Naturally, without warging, some may have extremely accurate senses, allowing them to see, hear, smell, taste, touch and/or feel more than an average human, though in most cases these extra senses are only temporary.

       
       
       

~Organics~

   The witches in this specialty can create, shape and manipulate everything and anything organic, both organisms and organic matter. They can create, manipulate, shape, transform, heal and/or destroy everything that lives, has lived or comes from either of the above. They can generate organic matter, including plants, disease, bodies or once living matter, such as oil or coal by drawing them from already existing sources. They can also create only parts of the organisms, such as skin, fat, muscles, blood, nerves, or leaves, flowers, fruit, etc. This specialty can bind, imprison and/or otherwise stop object/being by surrounding them completely by using organic material.

   They can change organic material (including their own bodies) into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures of varying permanence. The witch can transform matter and objects, including living beings, into organic substances. They can create one or more auxiliary organs (brain, heart, nervous system, etc.) should their main ones be rendered useless. The additional organs may also enable enhanced physical attributes. Upon mastering this ability, they can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need. They become large organic beings of biological proportions and hideous nature and can transform their body completely into organic matter, including blood, bone, wood, etc.

   The witches can become large enough to reduce damage to their body. They can even assimilate other beings into themselves. They can create clones of themselves by using organic material (including their own bodies), including blood, bone, wood, etc. One of the more obscure and very rarely mastered skills is that they can teleport via organic substances, merging into organic substance and appearing anywhere else from the same substance.
   
   Witches have the ability to different organic matter. In their transformed form, can be either anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of organic matter, in which case it contains all to organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately they can transform into homogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other. They may also be able to form armor around their body or a shape it from organic material for protection and physical boost. With training, the user could shape the armor into new forms for weapons, transportation, even constructs of the element.



     

~Terramancer~

   A witch with this specialty can create, shape and manipulate any "Earthen" elements including most solid objects, specifically all minerals and mineral compositions regardless of their state (mountain, boulder, sand or dust), dirt, soil, etc. A witch can sense the presence of rare resources and possibly gain detailed understanding about the resources they are sensing, including the amount/size of rare resources they are sensing and whether it is hidden. They can create, shape and manipulate gems, also called precious or semi-precious stones, a fine gems, or jewels: natural or artificially produced minerals that have sufficient beauty and durability for use as a personal adornment.

   Surrounding themselves in earth barriers, earthen particles, or earthly energy, granting them both protection and offensive abilities, potentially crushing what they touch are all common abilities seen under this specialty. They can achieve flight by lifting themselves by the minerals surrounding them, or by propelling themselves. They can release massive amounts of earthly materials in every directions at once for almost unlimited scales or they can release/use earth and earthen materials to make attacks of various shapes and/or intensities, either projected or used as a part of melee attacks, etc. These allow them to dispatch many foes at once and/or destroy large areas like villages.

   They embody and personify the land, which allows them limitless control over the land. They can create portals using the earth and are able to generate earth, sand, stone, or any other minerals. They can also create platforms, stairs or a stable ground to halt the downward pull of gravity, as transportation, etc. using earth. Witches under this specialty can fly, glide and/or levitate through manipulation of earth, including lava, stone, etc. They can fly at varying speeds, levitate, or propel themselves without taking flight, including enhanced jumping by a short burst of flight.
   
   The witch with this specialty can turn earth into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Witches who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need. They can create shields of varying shapes and sizes out of the earth. Witches can transform matter and objects, including living beings at times, into stone. Under this it is possible that they can become invisible when in/on/touching earth by way of camouflaging themselves.
 
  Ability to to emit beams made up of tectonic energy and minerals is a skill commonly seen in practiced witch. The tectonic energy allows for the beams to affect entire areas withes. Accuracy and the tiny minerals allows for damage to remain over time with exposure to the beam. The beam may also be able to hurt or damages an opponent with sheer force much like that of solid rock. This may also allow them to be able to trip earthquakes.


       
       

~Crystals~

   A witch in this specialty can create, shape and manipulate crystals and crystalline materials: homogeneous solids formed by a repeating, three-dimensional pattern of atoms, ions, or molecules and having fixed distances between constituent parts. The witch can transform matter and objects, including living beings at times, into crystal.
   
   The witches in this specialty can solidify, or crystallize, the blood within themselves or others to use as weapons and/or tools. To take this one step further, a witch can transform their body completely into crystal or crystalline substance. Witches transformed form can be either anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of crystal, in which case it contains all to organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately user can transform into homogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other.

   A witch with this ability can release/use crystals to attacks of various shapes and/or intensities, either projected or used as a part of melee attacks, etc. The witch is able to project an array of crystals from their mouth, the more deep breaths they take, the stronger the crystal when it is exhaled. The witch can exhale shards of crystals in a beam that can shred anything they choose. They can even spit a enormous crystal to cause big damage.

   A witch combines energy with various type of crystalline materials (Ice excluded) by preparing the crystalline materials from common glass to jewels, and using them for various purpose like heal wounds, summoning, creating a contracts, seals, etc. While crystalline materials can be divided into two categories of Condensed (created by the concentration of energy to the point that become solid or the crystallization of energy) and the Hand-made (crystalline mineral and material like a gem or glass), all the "product" of a witch can be divided into: Charged: crystal object with inside energy that can replace the energy of the magic user for the spell or that can be used to replenish their energy. Improvised: crystal created at the moment using crystalline material find "on the field". Programmed: crystal with inside a specific spell that can be released when the crystal is used.

   The witches under this specialty can bind, imprison and/or otherwise stop object/being by surrounding them completely by using crystals. They may also be able to surround themselves in barriers that are made completely out of crystal or crystalline substances, therefore giving them both protection and offensive abilities This can also be used to achieve flight lifting themselves by the crystals that are surrounding them, or otherwise by propelling themselves. The witch can also form armor around their body or a shape it from crystal and crystalline materials for protection and physical boost. With training, the witch could shape the armor into new forms for weapons, transportation, even constructs of the element. Some witches can even use it for deflecting beam-based attacks making them near useless.

   
       
       

~Metal~

   Witches with this specialty can create, shape and manipulate metal, a solid material (an element, compound, or alloy) that is typically hard, shiny, and features good electrical and thermal conductivity. Metals are generally malleable —they can be hammered or pressed permanently out of shape without breaking or cracking— as well as fusible (able to be fused or melted) and ductile (able to be drawn out into a thin wire). A witch can create, shape and manipulate metal in granular form, ranging from coarse, sand-like consistency to powder-like or dust-like. Witches with this ability can sense the presence of metal and possibly gain detailed understanding about the metal they are sensing. They can determine the size of metal structures they are sensing by determining the amount and whether or not that metal is hidden.

   The witch in this class can release/use metal to attacks of various shapes and/or intensities, either projected, used as a part of melee attacks, etc. The witch can form armor around their body or a shape it from metal for protection and physical boost. With training, they could shape the armor into new forms for weapons, transportation, even constructs of the element. They can also create shields of varying shapes and sizes out of the metal.

   A witch can transform their body completely into metal. Witch's transformed form can be either anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of metal, in which case it contains all to organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately the witch can transform into homogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other. The witch gains varying abilities depending of what kind of metal they mimic: some metals are soft but malleable and survive damage by flexing under the attack and returning back to their normal state afterwards, others are hard and can take severe damage before eventually breaking. Some witches may even shatter after receiving enough damage, but reconstruct themselves slowly afterwards relatively unharmed. Metals have also varying abilities relating their ability to tolerate/conduct heat, electricity, acid/corrosion, etc. Several metals have specific symbolic and mystical properties as well. Their body-tissue, skin, muscles, bones, etc. are extremely dense/solid, allowing them to withstand harmful strains on the body such as crushing weights, impacts, pressures, and changes in temperature. They also gain enhanced levels of strength and stamina, this is possible because of how hard their body has become, allowing them to resist tearing a muscle and/or their bones shattering easily.

   They are able to surround themselves within metal materials or metallic energy like aura, potentially gaining some of the metal-like properties listed above. They could also be able to fly by lifting themselves by the metal surrounding them, or by propelling themselves. They are able to project different kinds of metals, from simple metals to complex alloys, in an assortment of shapes. The witch with this specialty is able to manipulate metal in a unique way that involves keeping it heated and in a fluid state. Using advanced control over the metal, the user is able to change the temperature of the metal, rapidly cooling and heating in several times in one fight.

   A witch with this ability can manipulate trace metals (including iron, magnesium, lithium, zinc, copper, chromium, nickel, cobalt, vanadium, arsenic, molybdenum, manganese, selenium, etc.), that are present in animal and plant cells and tissue in extremely small quantities and which are a necessary part of nutrition and physiology. They are depleted through the expenditure of energy by various metabolic processes living organisms and replenished in animals through diet as well as environmental exposure, and in plants through the uptake of nutrients from the soil in which the plant grows.

       
       
       

~Shamanism~

  Shamans can sense the overall well-being and conditions of their immediate environment and natural setting stemming from a psychic sensitivity to nature, including all biomes (forests, deserts, tundra, wetlands, mountains, etc). A tree naturally falling or predator catching their prey in a nearby forest would be felt by the user, leaving them feeling calmly relieved. Unnaturally, would leave the user sickened. Can detect natural changes as well (rise in temperature, humidity, etc). Witches in this class can understand the overall well-being and conditions of plants and animals, as well as fully interpret their emotions and communicate with them.
   
   A witch with this ability is able to call on the minds of others living, dead, or in another world., communicating with a past life, a deceased ancestor, or to receive help from a living friend. This power may be limited to which people the user may communicate with or how often they may communicate or in what state the user is in when communicating. This ability covers a wide range of mental communication. Evocation pulls the mind of another into the mind of the users, allowing them to communicate whether or not they would normally have the ability to. The user can call supernatural forces to help them guide the user for almost any scenario, to perform a task, find their way to a location, overcome adversities (personal or universal), etc., they can even be guided to fulfill a certain destiny.

       
       
       

~Druid~


  Druids can utilize the nature-based magical arts of the druids, the Celtic priestly class, that were said to possess great influence over nature. Note that this power is based on popular culture view about druids, so the historical accuracy isn't the top priority. The witch can sense and/or understand the emotions of animals and vice versa. They can also sense the overall well-being and conditions of their immediate environment and natural setting stemming from a psychic sensitivity to nature, including all biomes (forests, deserts, tundra, wetlands, mountains, etc). A tree naturally falling or predator catching their prey in a nearby forest would be felt by the user, leaving them feeling calmly relieved. Unnaturally, would leave the user sickened. Can detect natural changes as well (rise in temperature, humidity, etc). The witch is connected directly and can communicate, influence, manipulate and control nature: all living beings and plants and natural phenomena, such as the weather and geology of the Earth, and the matter and energy of which all these things are composed. They can survive in any natural environment on earth.
   
   A witch can transform into animals, as well as use the abilities, traits and appearance/physiology of animals by rearranging their own DNA structure. Some may be able to transform into alien animals and/or animals they have never encountered, such as Dinosaurs. Some may have this ability from an empty genetic code, allowing them to accept any form from which they have a DNA sample, others may be able to alter their form mentally and change just by seeing and mimicking animal features.

   Witches can create and manipulate all forms of natural disasters, including avalanches, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hydro-logical disasters, meteorological disasters, wildfires, health disasters, space disasters, etc. The druid can generate diseases and viruses, including mixing illnesses together or creating completely new ones, whether by drawing them from already existing sources, or by manifesting them anywhere they want.

   Witches with this ability are able to use this systematic method in order to track down various objects. Dowsing can also be used to track organic life through specific objects they've touched.

   A druid can restore biotic organisms to their optimal health, curing damaged or withered organisms, wounds, broken bones, low vitality, and diseases/poisoning. Though the witch may potentially heal any form of bodily damage, the patient must be alive, even if hanging by a thin thread, in order to be healed; once the patient has died, it would transcend healing and would require resurrection instead. The witch can purify, heal and generally influence the health of nature, and considering the fact that they're helping the environment, plants and animals act favorably towards user. They have access to every living species of animal on Earth and can also draw strength from them and acquire their abilities. Nature obeys users every command and operate on a "hive mind", meaning users can control an entire army of animals.

   Witches with this ability can control, tap into, blend and/or become elements of nature, including air, weather, lightning, earth, stone, metal, water, ice, clouds/mist, magma, fire etc.. They can control animals and plants and mimic their abilities and forms. Because user can communicate with nature, they become instantly familiar with their surroundings, the connection is so deep that the earth can respond to one's emotions and desires (blossoming with flowers and calming weather when happy, making skies stormy when angry, shifting the landscape to gain the advantage in a fight, etc.)

   The witch is able to understand the speech or emotions of animal life forms. This ability is quite uncommon and multifaceted. Some variations are magic-based while others are natural talents or mental powers, similar to Telepathy (but limited to animals). The witch can communicate either telepathically , by speaking verbally, or by touching it physically, with all forms of plant-life, including flowers, trees, fruits, vegetables, pollen, etc.

   A witch can create potions: substances with magical properties such as enhancing physical and mental abilities, healing, granting powers, chancing shape, or bewitching someone depending on the kind of potion that is made. Some potions come in different forms of liquid, such as jelly, stew, brew, or even soup. They can also be made into solid form, often pills, powder, candy, and possibly drugs.

   The witches in this class can shapeshift their form, transforming and reshaping down to the genetic and cellular structure. They can impersonate others or enhance one's body for combat, either by turning into animals, monsters or make the body stronger. Users with particularly flexible abilities can manipulate their form at will, combining abilities, traits, etc, even being able to form limbs into weapons and reforming after being blown apart by explosives.
